(Text: The American Journey: A History of the United States)

Note: Use your Binder to record answers to questions, take notes, and draft essays. (A draft can be an outline.) Two weeks are dedicated to each project. You are to plan your work and use your time well.

Project #1 World's Apart, Transplantation, and The Creation of New Worlds

Read: Chapters  1 through 3.

Write: Answer 3 of the Review Questions after each chapter. Write your answers in complete sentences in your 11th grade work binder.
​​Using the flipchart paper provided, begin your timeline. Use pencil to write the most important events from your reading and then trace over in black marker. You should be able to incorpate this timeline into a broader one which will span from this point in time to the current time. At the end of the year, you will showcase your timeline.

Research: A topic of your choosing from any of the three chapters you read. (One page, typed double space, 12pt Times New Roman.)
